Brooklyn

Went to Brooklyn for Halloween with artripoli.com. It was a great time, we met up with our good friend hams and wandered around the city for night. Looking forward to going back soon.

Abby

This is Abby my Dad’s fiance’s daughter, she has strep, so today I made her pose for a couple quick shots before it started raining, and before her mother noticed.

Jay and Stephanie get engaged!
These are two of my good friends from Springfield,MO. Jay and I lived together for a couple wild years and have remained close ever since. Stephanie has been a good friend of mine for quite some time as well. These two share a very close and special bond. I am looking forward to seeing this relationship blossom into a lifelong partnership. We were fortunate enough to be able to use Jay’s place of work, the Primatara Farm on the outskirts of Springfield. Click the picture to see the full set.

Today it was finally sunny and I had a couple of subjects. Taylor and Kelli were wanting to do some stuff outside and Tony and I had to the itch to take some photos. So we went to Peace Park on Mizzou’s campus and then out to McBaine. McBaine has a large old tree that is usually referred to as “Big Tree,” it has a lot of open fields and is a great spot for some sunset shots. We took the lights and a few beverages out to the fields and started shooting. These are some of the shots from the shoot. Enjoy!

These are my two good friends Tyler and Greg. Tyler is an old roommate and Greg is a lake bum that I have known a long time. I’ve been aching for a sunny day where I didn’t have to work and I had some available subjects. Well today would have been one of those days… It took a while to coordinate schedules so our available light had diminished, however both guys had put on their new suits hoping to shoot all afternoon. Needless to say we had a good time, and got a few shots in.

My friend Brad was swimming in his last competitive swim meet of his life last weekend. So Amanda and I went to Elsah, IL (Located near nothing), en route to Elsah we had to cross the Mississippi River via ferry, twice. Needless to say; what was supposed to be 2 hours became 3.5 real quick. We did arrive but missed most of the morning swimming, so we grabbed a nap and a bite to eat and waited for the finals. The finals were an interesting experience, most of the fans were parents and they were all intense, it was a lot of fun and I came away with a few usable frames.

As you will eventually realize I have a large group of friends that are Physical Therapy grad students at MU. These lovely ladies have truly been awesome, seeing the hours of endless homework that proceeds the 8+ hours of class each day will really make you appreciate their ability to party. Most of these girls can drink with the undergrads and still be up for 7AM Case Management  (I’ve seen this multiple times.) This is one of the nights we recently went out. Jill had a birthday the next morning and Maggie had been engaged the night before. It was just festivus for the rest of us. Beer, food, and laughter. Usually a good recipe, especially with the spices this group brings!

 LANCE AND EMILY
Lance has been one of my closest friends for a long time and when he and his fiancee Emily wanted to take a few save the date shots I jumped right on it. These were done around Mizzou’s campus and the temp was right around 24 degrees. Everyone hung on to some warmth with a few laughs and we managed to come away with a few decent shots.
